TeleBright Supports Disabled Veterans
Winter Sports Clinic
Snowmass, Colo. – March 19, 2008 - Thanks in part to the support of TeleBright, more than 400 disabled veterans are
expected to ski the Rocky Mountains at the 22nd National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic in
Snowmass Village, Colo., near Aspen, from March 30 to April 4, 2008. Recently wounded veterans from the
War on Terror will participate in the event, which is the largest annual rehabilitation event of its kind in the
world.
The clinic is open to all U.S. military veterans with spinal cord injuries or disease, visual impairments,
certain neurological conditions, orthopedic amputations or other disabilities, who receive care at
Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) health care facilities.
During the six-day program, veterans will learn adaptive Alpine and Nordic skiing and be introduced to a
variety of other adaptive activities and sports, such as rock climbing, scuba diving, snowmobiling and sled
hockey. The U.S. Secret Service will also teach a course on self-defense for people with disabilities.
TeleBright will provide transportation, meals and incidental expenses for more than 200 first-time veterans
and nearly 30 active duty combat wounded soldiers to attend the clinic. TeleBright will also provide a group
of employees to volunteer throughout the duration of the event.
“We admire the courage of the veterans that this event celebrates,” said Chet Thaker, CEO of TeleBright. “It’s a privilege to lend our support to these brave men and women who’ve sacrificed so much for our nation.”

In addition to the generous sponsorship of TeleBright, the event is co-sponsored by the VA and Disabled
American Veterans (DAV).
“TeleBright’s generosity and commitment to our nation’s disabled veterans is truly remarkable,” said DAV

and welfare of our wounded heroes.”
