Announcing two new enhancement capabilities for our existing telecom expense management tool, ManageRight®. Today marks the arrival of the alert notification tool BrightCare, along with a new ManageRight Wireless life cycle portal.
The BrightCare system was created with cost optimization as the core objective. Customers can expect continuous monitoring of their wireline and wireless assets and expenses. Alerts are sent when critical business decisions are required. As soon as a carrier changes a client’s billing, BrightCare detects that change and performs instant analysis on how it will impact the customer. BrightCare notifies the appropriate personnel with opportunities to save money and enhance performance. The notification empowers the company to take proactive actions, assign the task internally, or maintain the current setup.
The ManageRight Wireless portal relieves the persistent pressure businesses feel with the mounting costs of wireless devices. This fully integrated expense management portal supports the entire wireless life cycle, from plan and device comparisons, procurement, assets inventory, policy enforcement, invoice processing, expense allocations, and instantaneous usage alerts. This unparalleled solution significantly reduces wireless expenses and streamlines operational workflow.
“BrightCare and the ManageRight Wireless portal have been developed in response to our loyal customers who have shared their frustrations about ballooning budgets in recent years,” said Chet Thaker, Chief Executive Officer of TeleBright. “We are thrilled to be able to offer answers that address so many current issues.”
“I am happy to see these capabilities in ManageRight,” said Jon Giberson, President, Connections, Inc. “They greatly enhance the ease with which wireline and wireless telecom investments can be managed efficiently.”
“We are so pleased with ManageRight, having additional support will be wonderful.” said Randy Carnahan, Director of Telecommunications, Hillenbrand Industries. “We look forward to the savings on our wireless expenses.”
Effective Cost Per Minute White Paper
By Chet Thaker, CEO, TeleBright
There are many metrics available to assess the success of an organization in controlling wireless cost. Our true test for success of wireless expense management is effective cost per minute (ECPM). This White Paper further examines the factors of wireless expense control and explains the preference for ECPM as a key benchmark worthy of adoption.

What's New and Cool in Office 2007
By Kathy Gildemeister, Quality Assurance and Tariff Manager
In Outlook 2007 the To-Do Bar is the most obvious change when you first look at Outlook 2007. In addition to this is the mini-calendar view. In previous versions, you needed to change Outlook views in order to see calendar items. Tasks not completed roll over to the next day and accumulate until completed.
The Windows Desktop Search hooks into Outlook 2007 and indexes your mail and other Outlook items.
The Attachment Preview feature supports most common file types and shows you a file's contents without having to open a separate program in a separate window. File name, size, author and last date of modification are included at the top of the window.
RSS Feeds - In the Mail Folders section of the screen, there is a new option called RSS Feeds. This is the default storage space for handling news feeds. You can synchronize your RSS feeds between Explorer 7 and Outlook 2007 so that the same feeds are available in both programs. However, if you're using an Exchange account, news headlines will be saved into your Exchange mailbox. Outlook 2007 allows you to add feeds individually or in bulk by importing an Outline Processor Markup Language (OPML) file. Once you add a feed either through Outlook or through Internet Explorer 7, the feed contents become immediately available in both applications.
Word 2007
A New Interface - The user interface has been streamlined to help create documents easier and faster. The interface was changed to have a Ribbon bar. This replaces the former menus and toolbars. The tabs on the Ribbon display the relevant commands in the task areas you are working in. On the Home tab, you can also see a feature that Microsoft calls a gallery. A gallery displays a thumbnail image of what and how a particular style will appear in your document. Word uses the style gallery to give you a preview to show the result of applying a particular style to your document. To view this, hover your mouse pointer over the style you want. Word changes your text to match the new style, but the style isn’t changed until you click the left mouse button. To apply a particular style to your document, click the style.
New styles - There are new default styles that Microsoft has introduced in Word 2007. The Normal style has a new look and feel in Word 2007. It is based on the new Calibri font, which ships with Office 2007. Heading fonts use the new Cambria font. The Normal style double-spaces by default between paragraphs.
New Mini Tool Bar - One of the most prominent new features in Word 2007 is the Mini Toolbar. When text is selected and then you hover your mouse over it, the Mini Toolbar pop up. The tool bar box is transparent right near the text selection. Once you move your mouse over an item on the Mini Toolbar, the toolbar looks like any toolbar found in previous editions.
Enhanced Cut and Paste Functions - In Office 2007, Microsoft has added an enhancement to an interface that makes it easy to do some less common copy and paste functions. The enhancement has taken some of the steps and guesswork out of the process. After copying text from a source, use the arrow under the Paste option on the Ribbon's Home tab and choose Paste Special. One major time saver is setting paste options to know how the default paste works in Word 2007. So, if you want text that you copy from other applications to always default to "Unformatted Text" in Word, no problem. Likewise, you can set text that you copy between Word documents to act however you like as well. To change the default paste behavior, go to the Office button and choose Word Options. Choose the Advanced option to get a window where you can decide how to handle pasting when there are conflicting styles between documents.
New Export to PDF and XPS formats - After downloading and installing an add-in after the initial Office 2007 installation, Word 2007 can export files in PDF format or in Microsoft's new XPS (XML Paper Specification) format.
Direct Blog Composition - Compose and publish blogs directly from within Word.
Excel 2007
Contextual tab - Clicking on a chart causes a contextual tab to appear with the relevant commands used for chart editing. These tabs only appear when they are needed which makes them easier to find and use.
New interface - With the new interface, rich data visualization, and PivotTable views, professional-looking charts are easier to create and use. Office Excel 2007, combined with Excel Services, a new technology that will ship with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, provides significant improvements for sharing data with greater security.
Conditional formatting - Visualize key data trends using conditional formatting. Highly visual conditional formatting includes new data bars, more colorful gradients, and icons so you can format data based on specific rules and easily identify key data trends with visual cues.
